Boat Trip on Ropotamo River and Some Extras
Since in my previous post I ended up my little report on Saturday, I’ll continue here with the details of the last day of the May 1st to 4th weekend spent on the southern Bulgarian sea side.
We started the day with a boat trip on the Ropotamo River. During its one hour duration, we sailed from embarking point all the way to the place where the river flows into the Black Sea. We managed to spot water turtles, but also a few birds.
Below you can see three short videos from the boat trip:
The last video, showing the place where the river flows in the Black Sea, starts a bit shaky as I was trying to chase some swallows that were flying around the boat.
After the boat trip, we drove to Chernomorets and spent an hour enjoying cool soft drinks and the breeze of the sea at a beach pub.
Before pointing our compass to Romania, we stopped in Burgas and had an amazing lunch at Happy Grill.
The trip back was very pleasant, we enjoyed both the sunny roads between Karnobat and Shumen, but also the stormy area around Russe.
We arrived in a Bucharest that was recently ravaged by a storm (flooded streets everywhere, as well as melted ice from the hail that poured across the city).

Since I didn’t manage to upload yesterday the videos related to my first part of the journey, I will publish them here:
The forest path leading to Beglik Tash.
The first secluded gulf we found near Beglik Tash.
Underwater flora & fauna at the second gulf near Primorsko.
